07 Jan Murder of Crows
After yesterday’s channeling circle with Ingrid Turner, I was met by a murder of crows on the way home. It looked like there were at least 15 – 20 gathered. I stopped my car to take a picture and they immediately flew upwards, taking to the trees. The picture didn’t come out as clear as I had hoped (and definitely didn’t capture the entirety of them) but as another car approached from the rear, I had no choice but to move on. If you look closely, however, you will notice some of them as shadows of whisper and breath floating along the branches – one in the center mid-flight with wings still spread.
I am Apsáalooke, otherwise known as Crow. In circle, everyone commented on how quickly I can shift energy. I was told and reminded of how much elemental power I hold. Of how I can heal – myself and others. Of the mighty gifts that have been bestowed. Told to call upon my great warrior, Annunatuk for guidance and support. And for the love of all that is holy, to stop doubting myself and to stop fearing and denying all of who I am. Reminded that fear and power are two sides of the same coin as so much power commands, requires, and demands the utmost integrity and respect from within. That with that power comes great responsibility.
I was reminded how I am perfect balance between earth and heaven, mars and venus, shadow and light. The creation of chaos – the perfect storm – the eternal balancing of feather and heart laid across the balancing justice scales of life – of heart, breath, and soul. How I am a mystic creature born both of sunshiny days and molded within the blackest of nights. Heavy is the crown carried on the crest of wings soaring beneath the light of the moon, embraced by the stars that can only be viewed in the darkest of skies. I am Shadow Keeper of the Great Mysteries. I am Oracle, moving between worlds. I am Shaman. I am Apsáalooke, otherwise known as Crow.
